Abby Ours has never had a home.

“I lived everywhere.  I didn’t stay in a house any more than a month.  And the last place I lived was Falcon.  That’s when they took me away.”

Abby grew up living from house to house before being taken away from her biological mother by the Department of Social Services at age eight.  For two years, she and her siblings jumped around between foster homes.

At age 10, Abby and her younger sister were adopted. She thought her life would have a fairy-tale ending and that she would finally feel apart of a family.  After six years of living with her adoptive mother, she was given away to the Falcon Children’s Home in Falcon, N.C.  Abby’s younger sister continues to live with her adoptive mother.
